The Vision of : Building an After-School Arts Center That Changes Lives

In every community, there are children filled with talent, creativity, and potential — but not every child has access to a safe place where those gifts can grow. At (LMP), our vision is to create more than just an arts program. We are building a future community-centered after-school performing arts center where youth can feel seen, supported, inspired, and empowered through the arts.

Our dream is to establish a full after-school center in the Clearwater and Pinellas County area that provides opportunities in dance, music, drama, writing, digital arts, production, and leadership development for youth of all backgrounds. We believe the arts are not an extra — they are essential.

For many underrepresented youth, after-school hours can become a time of isolation, lack of supervision, or missed opportunities. LMP envisions a place where students can go after school to discover their talents, build confidence, improve academically, and develop meaningful connections with mentors and peers.

The arts teach far more than performance skills. They teach discipline, teamwork, communication, emotional expression, leadership, and problem-solving. Through music, dance, theater, and creative writing, students learn how to express emotions in healthy ways while gaining confidence in who they are. Creative spaces can help youth feel valued, motivated, and connected to their communities.

Our vision also includes creating programs that strengthen the entire community — not just youth. We hope to provide workshops, mentorship opportunities, performances, and cultural programs that involve families, adults, and local leaders. By investing in the arts, we invest in stronger neighborhoods, stronger relationships, and brighter futures.

Another important part of LMP’s vision is building international partnerships that connect youth across cultures through performing arts and education. Through our partnership with, LMP is expanding its mission globally to create cultural exchange opportunities, arts education initiatives, and community support programs that bridge the gap between the United States and Africa.

International partnerships allow young people to learn from one another, appreciate different cultures, and understand that creativity is a universal language. Through future exchange programs, performances, workshops, and collaborative projects, we hope to inspire youth to think beyond borders while building global friendships and leadership skills.

LMP envisions a future where students from Clearwater, Florida can connect with students in The Gambia through music, dance, storytelling, and shared experiences. These partnerships are about unity, education, opportunity, and creating lasting impact both locally and internationally.

As our organization continues to grow, our long-term goal is to open a dedicated performing arts facility where students can rehearse, create, study, perform, and feel safe being themselves. A place where young artists are encouraged to dream big. A place where culture, creativity, and community come together under one roof.
